Piggies! Piggies! Piggies!

I have been wanting a teacup piggy for a few weeks now, and I have been researching all about them. I have come to find out how freaking cute they are, but how expensive they are too. I didnt realize that a pig 4x smaller than a regular pig could cost so much money. This type of pig will cost me anywhere from $400- $1400. BUT it will be well worth it for me!

Here are some facts about piggies if you didnt already know them:

1. Teacup potbellied pigs and mini pigs are becoming increasingly popular as household domestic pets.

2. Teacup potbellied pigs litter train in a matter of days.

3. They have a projected lifespan of 15-20 years.

4. With their smaller size they can adapt well in living in an apartment but cannot navigate well with stairs.

5. A teacup pig will weigh anywhere from 35-40 pounds compared to a full sized pig weighing anywhere from 600 and up.

6. Pigs should be walked daily on a leash or should be able to run around the house in order to exercise.

7. If you have a piggy in your home, you must baby proof it just like you would with a 2 year old child. They are very smart and always are looking for more food :)

8. You might buy a toy or teacup sized pig BUT if you over feed it then it might grow into an obsese toy pig.

9. The main disadvange that I have found is that the pigs can become very spoiled and become very manipulated. (who wouldnt want to spoil such a cute little thing??)

10. Listed here is the piggies ten commandments :) enjoy! http://www.teacuppiggies.com/ten%20commandments.htm
